Whose Care?  I use the terms: Eldercare, Self-Care and Care for the Caregiver in my work with individuals and families across the generations who are on the care journey.

These terms help identify three main areas of focus or roles in the care equation.  People often fit into more than one category.

Concerns, care needs, perspectives, values, priorities,  preferences and solutions may differ between people.  Depending on the situation,  these differences can sometimes lead to conflict.

Giving voice to key people in the care equation is the first step in creating effective care plans and strategies to address a range of immediate and future care needs.
